Our Scouting team worked realy hard this year and we are all very excited to go to Worlds!
They doubled down this year, and now have back to back wins at the Indiana Mishawaka event! This time as alliance captain! Such an amazing story, and truly inspirational to see a team survive so long before a win, and now they just keep going! Can’t wait to follow along with the 461 journey this year, even if it’s no longer from within the confines of Indiana.
Love from the other side of the curtain, good luck at worlds!!!
Another Silver in the bag. Onto North Shore next week
280 won their first event today. Competed every year since 1999.
To add some context: yes, we’ve made finals 9 times and have walked away with silver all 9 times. At BSU last week, we passed 5254 HYPE (rip) for most finals without a win, and as far as I know no other team has had more than 7 at any point in time? So go us! Some other fun and funky insights:
- silvers from two regionals (2008, 2009), 6 district events (2016, 2020, 2022 x2, 2024 x2), and one worlds division - Galileo in 2014
- all of our finals appearances have been from the captain or first pick spot, which i think is pretty cool
- since i’ve been with the team, i believe we are 0 for 5 for having all 3 members of our alliance working as intended in the finals (always those pesky intakes, i swear). sometimes that’s just the way it goes in frc, so here’s to hoping it can swing in our favor one of these times!
Overall though, we are super proud of all the students for their effort during these events, they worked through a lot of issues on both saturdays to get the robot firing on all cylinders for playoffs and it showed - now on to distrct champs!
After being finalists twice before, Team 4786 won the Wisconsin Regional this past weekend. They played lights-out defense and were an amazing partner on the #4 alliance. Nicolet FEAR also earned the Engineering Inspiration award for the third year in a row. Awesome to see them win their first regional banner!
Congrats to 686 in CHS for their first ever blue banner in 23 years. They have an amazing robot this year.
Pearadox ended up winning Belton district event 2024!
Definitely not bridesmaids anymore.
Working on 17 down here in Texas.
I feel this. We are at 5 finals appearances as captain or 1st pick.
While 467 has won two regionals in its lifetime (2002 and 2012), we have never won a competition within the New England district. 6328 and 177 treated us to a finalist position in our first ever appearance at NEDCMP playoffs last year, but it would be nice to earn a blue banner at some point. I doubt it’ll happen this year but who knows. Miracles can happen.
With their win this weekend at the NEFIRST UNH District Event, 172 are at last bridesmaids no more!
Congratulations!
IT IS OVER!!!
We are still up for impact so we could get 2 banners
The blue banner was found. Massive congrats to 172!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Mega congrats! I’m glad you were able to get it before graduating.
hey speaking of…
TWO
This is so great, congrats 172!
Who’s the next longest bridesmaid?
