Broken Trim Knobs on Photoswitches?

We are concerned that the trim knobs on our photoswitches have been broken by being turned past their limits. We can turn them continuously. Should they only be able to rotate approximately 270 degrees?

We could turn ours 360+, and they’re not broken

Definitely not true, there are stops on them. However, I don’t think it hurts them too much if you don’t do it too often. I try to avoid it though (try using only the head of the screwdriver, if it’s removable, so you get a smaller mechanical advantage and you can feel the stops).

Mark,
I have had one mentor report that he broke the knob by rotating it too far. He was able to remove the damaged knob and found that a Phillips screw driver was all he needed to make the calibration.

I can confirm this. Saving $65 by removing a piece of plastic is good. It’s really simple to pull off and it’s not all that much more difficult to turn with the knob off.
