With one month to go Brunswick Eruption 9 is filling fast.
Currently we have 27 participants from Canada on south and it will be a glorious day. The field will have a few newbies this year, some distant, and some of our old favorites are not attending.
We can still take a few more and welcome teams from anywhere.

  • the tikis are in and the trophies are in construction

-Teddy and the band crew are practicing “Oh Canada”

  • the Evil Sundae crew is looking under rocks for especially disgusting stuff for this year’s sundaes

  • the chefs are getting the food lined up

  • we will be collecting food for the **NB Food Bank **and offering a trophy for the team that donates the most items. Remember that coffee gets a double score.

  • we are planning a trip to Harolds (there is still one open in Edison) for Sat after take down for teams that want to be a part of it. If you don’t know what Harolds is talk to our long traveling teams from past years.

-FTC will have a scrimmage event in the Commons

-we will likely have a series of lectures too for all levels (waiting for the list from the organizer)

We are going to have fun. And that’s what it is all about.

Hope to see you there

Is anyone webcasting or recording video of the event?

Steven, I was wondering the same thing - I haven’t seen/heard any mention of a webcast.

I got a call from the team (1519) earlier, though. It sounds like the start of matches was delayed due to field issues, but that we had played our 6 matches, with only a few left before Alliance Selection. It didn’t sound like they knew where they were ranked, and I didn’t specifically ask about our record. The robot has been functional… apparently Vortex scored all three auto balls from the far zone in one match!

At any rate, it sounds like BE 9 has overcome some field difficulties and is under way! Best of luck to all teams competing!

Team 25 and crew thanks for hosting another successful Brunswick Eruption. Things may have started out slowly, but you guys did a great job of getting the schedule back on track. Also thanks to 25 and 1519 for inviting us to join their alliance.

Anybody have the results for this event? I’m curious how things all shook out, since I couldn’t make it down to North Brunswick.

And the results are- (sorry for the delay)

Evil Sundae Survivor- 1396 William
Alumni Favorite Robot- 358
Mike’s Favorite (in Honor of Mike Wade)- 2607
DBAB Smart Play Award (honoring Dave Beck)- 1676
Food Drive Champion- 869
#1 Seed- 25
Best Autonomous Mode- 1519
Aloha Spirit Award- 1089
Best Defender- 1075

Big Kahuna - Rick Plavnicky

Finalists- 1676,3123,293
Champions- 25,1519,222

We hope all attending had a great day in spite of the field crash in the morning. Hope to see you next year.
