Our team has an excess number of freshmen and we’ve ran out of ideas to keep them busy. Does anyone have any ideas that could keep them busy in the meanwhile? We already have a battery cart, we’ve made improvements to our machinery setup, and we’ve tried to think of anything we might need with our competition setup. I’m really just looking for anything that could keep them busy but also provide useful utility to our team. Also if you suggest something, photos of examples would be nice.
Cleaning the shop and sorting dropped hardware come to mind, as does deburring robot parts.
Failing that, there’s always turning them into rules experts and/or inspectors…
Have them make a technical binder for the robot, and memorize it to talk to judges.
Have them make posters, signs, etc. for team spirit at competition.
Have them catch up on their homework.

So you’re out of work to do on the robot? No possible iterations or mechanisms to work on?
Congrats, enjoy your break as a team!
If you’re not out of work - maybe get the freshmen involved there? Even if it’s just shadowing tasks more experienced members are doing?
