Have you ever seen an alliance that is really confusing because the team numbers are all similar? Well here is your chance to build your own favorite confusing alliance. Tell us what 3-team alliance you would like to see, where each team has to have one and only one of the below relationships to at least one of the other teams:
Same digits but in a different order (e.g. 2052, 2502)
One digit added/removed (e.g. 5254, 254)
One digit changed (e.g. 118, 148)
Some examples are:
4536, 4539, 3546
2052, 2502, 2056
987, 1987, 1986
2869, 3869, 2369
Going to have to resurrect 2 teams for my alliance but its all good.

45 (cheating - two digits off), 47, 48 - To my recollection, that all-Delphi alliance has never formed.
Let’s draft a backup bot - 45, 46, 47, 48
People still ask if we’re Chief Delphi.
48, 84, 488 would be nice and confusing if 84 were still around.

45, 47, 48 is allowable by the rules I set.
Ah yes, quite correct. Things look a lot more drastic when you only have 2 digits in your team number.

You forgot the Juggies.
65, 67, and 68 were on an elims alliance together in 2002.
66, 67, and 68 were on an elims alliance together in 2005.
971, 972, 973
They were all at Chezy Champs 2016, and SVR back in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008. Sadly, they have never all played on an alliance together.

There was an instance of 175, 176, and 177 at UMass Dartmouth last year.
Other than that, 4761, 4176, and 176 doesn’t sound too bad from a New England standpoint.

We had 4729, 4739 and 1739 in the same alliance in Australia regional last year.
North Champs Einstein Finals alliances, 2017:
16, 25, 1625 vs. 27, 67, 2767
Edit: 16 is in the South.

I had wondered if we ever had a “sequential” alliance.
At one time in Michigan there were 5 teams with numbers 150x:
1502, 1504, 1506 still exist; also 1508 and 1509.
Plus 1501 next door in IN and 1503 in ON.

In Michigan the 353* game is strong:
3534, 3535, 3536, 3537, 3538, 3539 are all currently active. Throw in 3542 and 3547, and things get really confusing.
In Washington, the 292* game is really strong:
2921, 2922, 2923, 2924, 2925, 2926, 2927, 2928, 2929, 2930 all started in Washington. Of these, only 2923, 2926, 2928, 2929, and 2930 are currently active.

We’ve been with Byting Bulldogs a couple time for the 3538 & 3539 combo. 3534, 3535, 3536, 3537, 3538, & 3539 are all FiM teams.
Edit: I was too slow. Also, Gaylord district this year has three of us in the 353* collection (3535, 3537, 3538).
2202, 2022, 2220
All three are generally midwestern, and I know that they all have had at least one tournament with another team on the list.
