Building Stacks in Opponents Zone

I am curious…

Team 341 - Miss Daisy, Team 175- Buzz and Team 236 - Techno Ticks were down 70 points after the first semi-final match in the finals. Team 236 - Techno Ticks went and built a two stack in their opponents scoring zone in hopes to run the score up and overcome the 70 point deficit. Now the announcers and most of the crowd didn’t seem to understand that we were building a stack in our opponents zone. There were three basic responses of the crowd…

  1. There were a large number of people that just didn’t realize that the blue robot was building a stack on the red carpet.

  2. There were people that recognized that the blue robot was stacking but thought the drivers were confused and building in the wrong end zone (the classic “run the wrong way down the field, and score the touchdown for the opposite team”

  3. There were people that realized the blue robot was stacking in the red zone and realized that the winner gets two times the opponents score added to their total and realized the Miss Daisy, Buzz, Tick alliance needed to recover 70 points.

Here is my question…

Does anyone know of any times, regional or championships, where a team BUILT a stack for their opponents?

I realize lots of smart teams left their opponents stacks standing, but I want to know if anyone BUILT a stack for their opponents.

CONGRATULATIONS to all teams that competed this year!

Also, thanks to all our alliance partners through regionals and championships.

And, special thanks to our alliance partners for the finals at the Championships - 341 - Miss Daisy and 175 - Buzz. Thanks to our alliance partners at the New Hampshire regional 58 - Riot Crew and 175 - Buzz, and Thanks to our alliance partners at the New England Regional, 782 - Killawattz and 157 - Aztechs

I was quite impressed when I saw that =)

The Techno Ticks had a great robot, I was in awe of both its speed and the amount of control its drivers had :yikes:
