Bumper latches

My team got the pegus auto racing latches. We are now stuck on finding how to get a bracket for those.

You need to provide a lot more information for anyone to be able to help you.

What are pegus auto racing latches? Do you have a link to what you’re talking about? What does the robot you’re mounting them to look like? What do the bumpers look like? What manufacturing capability do you have to make brackets? What (if anything) have you already tried?

These ?

Or the smaller option here?

If it’s like the first link that @Skyehawk posted, the main thing is that these latches only really hold in tension. Not compression, not torsion, and not lateral sheering motion. They aren’t going to hold up so well to being slammed, because that’s compression. You also aren’t going to be able to lift your robot by the bumpers.

So if you plan on using these (which I don’t really recommend), then you have to constrain your bumpers in a way that the tension works for you. You’ll be temped to just pull them inward, but I would instead put them sideways in a way. Something where the forces work like this:

You still won’t be able to lift by them, but it’ll take a hit better.
