Hi guys. We have a question about mounting the bumpers. Our idea is to create a bumper with two rails that, attached to the bumper, would make an expansion movement to one side. Do you know if this would be allowed and if any team has already done something similar?
Are you asking about bumpers that the robot can move?
R403. BUMPERS shouldn’t move. BUMPERS must not be articulated, relative to the FRAME PERIMETER.

If I recall correctly they’re supposed to be no further than 1/4" away from the frame parameter. It might be 1/2"
As @Bmongar noted, they can’t move relative to the frame perimeter (and by inference each other) during the match. If this motion is part of the installation/removal process, the most obvious issue would be if you have a section of bumper which does not look like the approved cross section (Figure 9-7 in the 2022 rules.)
