I put a lot of work into our buttons this year, and it got me thinking. If we were to hold a competition, where teams submitted a button to be judged either by popular vote or a team of judges, how many teams would participate. I am thinking of something along the lines of a website where teams submit their button every year creating not only an online database of buttons but also a competition to reward hard-working designers. Tell me what you think.
i think that a button competition happened last year at nationals
but it would be cool to do again.
VCu had an unofficial button judging contest, not many teams entered though. All in all i saw some very cool buttons there.
In the nationals last year my team got a pen knife for the second best button. We didn’t manage to see the first one, though.
We had buttons with blinking LEDs, pretty cool
The problem was that they were expensive, so we had few.
I think this year we will have simple ones, but a lot of them.

im working on buttons for the graphics team right now
I wanna be a button judge, it sounds fun!! Some teams have some awesome buttons, our team makes ours ourself but they are still pretty cool this year. I think if there was like a table or something, or like flyers, about a “button contest” teams would mos def join in.
