So I’m trying to get the link but the 8th seeded team of 75,25, and 1923 beat the 2nd seed of 11,222, 2016 in the finals at the Montgomery MAR district event. 25 and 75 each scored one gear with <10 seconds left and the pilot turns the fourth rotor with 1 sec left!
Truly a nail bitter match.
The match starts at around 2:47:15. That was quite the buzzer beater. Great work by 75, 25, and 1923!
Thank you 75 for having the faith and picking us to play with you. We had a rough start with some broken parts and a tough schedule to match. Being able to win one with you was great.
As several 222 members said this event felt very old school. And I agree as it’s the highest complement I can give to all the teams and staff at this event. This is the FIRST I have known and loved, it has been missing for a while and I can’t wait to see most of you at MAR champs…

Bummer, would have been great to see 11 get that banner. I know it has been a very tough season for the team, but I’m very proud to see them improve drastically since week 1. Also amazing to be able to partner with friends on 222 and 2016 again!

Huge thanks to everyone, especially 75 and 25. It was hilarious to see Shaun run from our half of the stands to 75’s to recommend picking us, only for 75 to say they were going to pick us anyway.
Those were really intense finals. 11 definitively has the best robot/driver in FMAR right now. Nobody else is putting 6 and 7 gears in the ship that reliably, and with defense along the way. And the 11/222 pairing had me asking what year it was - one of the scariest alliances of 2013 was back again.
We were honored to to play in such a great set of finals matches. They were the most exciting matches I’ve coached in a long time.
