Hello, i am new to this forum and new to programming in almost every language so i was hoping to get links, books or help on this forum to start programming a robot in C++, from the basics to the intermediate level (if possible).
Give ScreenSteps a try.

Thank you, i already new about this website and was hoping to get more videos i could watch then books or such, but if you only have books those would work really well to.
thank you once again.
Hey I’m new to C++ too!
Don’t worry though it shouldn’t be too hard:)
My veteran programmer gave me this book called:
Beginning C++ Through Game Programming [Third Edition]
and its really good at teaching basics-intermediate stuff!
Would you happen to have a pdf version or a link to one so i may access it too. if not i will try finding it own my own, but thank you anyway, i think it will help me a lot.
I think its just in book form…the maker is Course Technology CENGAGE learning if you want to google it…glad to help:)
Thank you i did find a pdf version online to download so it will be a great help thank you. Also if anyone has any video tutorials for me to use as i am desperate to learn for a final project and my robotics team. anyone who has helped thank you so much and please do so in the future.
My favorite C++ book is C++: The Complete Reference and is about $15 bucks used on Amazon. It’s not for someone completely new to programming, but if you have experience in any language then it’s a great book – not only for learning C++, but also to use as a reference later on (hence the name :p).
Thank you for this book as i hope it will be a great help to me in the future.
So are there any more recommendations for books of videos to watch to learn C++ as i am really hopeless right now, because my team only had one programmer, but he won’t teach me and instead lead me to this forum.
I would not recommend watching videos to learn programming. Here are two really good websites for you:
http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
I would suggest picking one of those sites and just start reading through the tutorial, referencing the other when needed.
Thank you, it will be a great help so thank you.
Thats what I have too =D Great book!
Because its your book!
Wait, what he is on ur team and he lent u the book, is that right?
Yes it is:) He just didn’t realize that it was me haha
