This would be cool only issue is the licencing that they have to get from Nintendo
I am 100% done with hoppers but at least there are fewer game pieces to count into them. RIP to anyone that accidentally triggers one though, a red shell is going hurt WAY more than a wiffle ball.

Also was talking with an Emcee for FRC regionals this weekend at an offseason event and he mentioned something that I guess I had never realized… FIRST working to switch from a sports based game to a more theme based game and the partnership with the Disney Imagineers. To that point, it sounds like the couple of people that I talked to think that it’s going to be a Thor themed game.

The 2017 field CAD was available early in the morning on Kickoff. As far as I know, no one knows how early it was posted. We still had no clue what the game was when we saw it though…
We had the field assembly open 5 minutes before the broadcast and we were freaking out and trying to guess what the heck it all meant. We also weren’t sure it was real, so all-in-all no harm was done.
I suppose if I saw what looked like platforms midfield, I’d probably think it was fake too.
