I’m looking to become proficient in CAD (my team uses inventor) and was wondering if anyone knew of some good resources for me to start off with that are specifically applicable to robot design (videos, tutorials, guides, etc.)
A good place to start are the FRC 610 design tutorials. Although they are meant for solidworks it’s pretty easy to follow it on Inventor. If you want to brush up on some other robot stuff (you can be good at CAD, but won’t be able to do much for your team if you don’t know how to robot) look at the idiot’s guide to FRC. Solidprofessor is also a good place to get started (DM me and I can get you hooked up). I’ll post a more in depth guide once I get home from IN St. Joseph lol.
Simbotics has this part of their page as well as a Solidworks YouTube Series. I know you’re using Inventor but these videos also go over design as well that should be easily transferable to Inventor.
Solid Professor has an extensive set of tutorials, and I found their content pretty helpful. I sent an email to sign our team up for a subscription per the instructions here.

973’s RAMP videos are good if you want to learn FRC-specific Solidworks skills. You can probably do most of what it teaches in Inventor, however.
The WCP GT2 belt design tutorials are good( usefulness depends on your machining resources). They are applicable to both GT2 and the FRC “standard” 5mm HTD belts.

Even if you are an experienced SW or Inventor user it is still really good to watch videos of other people designing stuff, as you can pick up all kinds of tips and tricks.
