Our team just received our Falcon 500’s, and we were not able to successfully perform the “Calibration” step on page 41 of the Motor User Guide. We are new to the CTRE electronics, but we were able to identify the motor in the Phoenix Tuner and get it spinning, and we were able to write successful java commands to control the motor through Driver Station with a joystick, but unable to get the Calibration to take. Not sure if we should do this step through Driver Station or the Phoenix Tuner. Did anyone get this to work?
Since you’ve mentioned Phoenix Tuner, I’m assuming you’re running over CAN. Calibration is only needed and only works when you’re running over PWM.

Okay, that makes sense. Not planning on running over PWM, so I thought this might be an unnecessary step. Thanks!
