We are excited to announce that we are accepting presentation proposals for the first-ever NEDCMP Conference to take place Friday, April 12th at WPI. We are looking for presentations on topics of interest to FRC teams, students, coaches, mentors, educators, parents, and prospective leaders. You may present individually or as part of a group.
Session Formats:
20 minute Session - A short TED-style talk
50 minute Session - A more in depth presentation
A good session covers one topic in depth, rather than giving an overview of many topics.
To apply for a presentation, please fill out the Google form linked below. You may submit more than one proposal by filling out the form more than once:
The deadline for proposal submissions is Saturday, March 23rd. We look forward to learning about what New England FIRST-ers can teach each other!
Thank you to everyone who has proposed a topic for the NEFIRST District Championship Conference so far! We are still looking for additional presentation topics for the event. The deadline to submit a proposal is this Saturday, March 23rd. Remember, you don’t need to have a full presentation prepared by that point - just to submit a topic so we know your intention to present.
If you have any interesting information to share, whether it be about your robot, your design process, your organization, or other FIRST-relevant topics, please fill out the form. Presenters can be students, mentors, alumni, volunteers, or a mix. We look forward to seeing all the presentations in April!
Are there any plans to record these? I’m not in the NE district, but I’d love to listen to some of the presentations. In any case, thanks for organising this.
If this proposal goes through, I would welcome another person to assist in Q & A, if anyone has also set up a corporation (since 2014–when it was greatly simplified).
It’s our intent to record the presentations. Given that this is the first attempt at a conference, things may go awry, but we’re working on securing the necessary AV equipment for a recording.
Here’s one more reminder that the deadline for proposals is in two days, March 23rd!
We are especially looking for additional robot-focused topics (mechanism design, construction techniques, sensor usage, et cetera) to round out the schedule.
We’re super grateful to all of the people who submitted recent proposals. We will be contacting everyone after the submission process has closed, to talk about the next steps.
