i couldn’t find the specific rule for custom circuits, and the only topic that i foud similar here was by using a motor controller. But my led strip is a adressable led that i dont know the protocol.
5V LED strips can be controlled by the roboRio, Arduinos, FRC specific things (like the Rev blinkin Blinkin LED Driver - REV Robotics or CTR candle CANdle) or the standard IR controller that comes with premade strips but you can’t use the remote in a match.
Yes it falls under the definition of CUSTOM CIRCUITS. So as long as you comply with the associated rules (no controlling actuators, proper breaker, allowed voltage, etc), then you should be fine. Use for powering LEDs should be fine.
I’m assuming that your LED controller is a signal controller, and power is being sourced from the battery via PDP/PDH.
