Has anyone built or have any ideas on how to make a CAN simulator to run just a single Falcon or other CAN device? It would be helpful at times to be able to control a single falcon during prototyping and testing. We used to have a PWM generator box in the past to run individual motor controllers and found it very helpful.
Well if all you need it for is testing, you can still use a pwm generator, but if you really want CAN you can use something like socketCAN on raspberry pi’s or jetsons, although I haven’t done it myself.
we love the canivore for all the features it has. we use our backup canivore over usb with a laptop to control individual motors for prototypes. no rio required phoenix tuner allows you to connect to the canivore over usb and access almost all control modes
