can someone help me with banebot motors?

for the gearboxes what is the difference in gear ratios like 4:1, 16:1, 64:1, 256:1.

Difference in speed and torque.

should have been more specific. from 4:!- 256:1 is there more torque with the higher ratio or more speed

4:1 the motor turns 4 times for one turn of the output shaft. So the output shaft spins 1/4 as fast as the motor, and has 4 times as much torque.

The higher the reduction, the slower the output shaft turns, and the more torque it has.

Specifically, for example, the BaneBot M7-RS775-12 has a free speed (rpm) of 19300. When mated with a 4:1 gear box, it will slow the rpm to 4825 however, you gain torque when you give up the initial input speed.

thank you
