Can you go under the pyramid?

I was thinking of a feeding option, I was just wondering how many teams are going to be >30" tall.
(I know the poll says “all”, It is suppose to be “tall” but I don’t know how to change it.)

1676 will be under 30’’.

By feeding idea, do you mean you want to feed other robots that will be positioned under the pyramid?

Our shooter will get the frisbees from the feeding station and shoot them under the pyramid. These frisbees would virtually have a “forcefield” around them.

Well, a “forcefield” to opponents who are >30’‘. Opponents who are <30’’ can still go under your pyramid and steal this frisbees, as long as they don’t touch your pyramid.

Team 704 can go under the pyramid when our shooter is in the lowest position.

Every team in MI who’s height I know for certain is under 30in. This makes your strategy both really good… And really indifferent. Depending on the match up, and the height of your shooter, it could be an automatic win. Or another robot could park in front of you. Hard to say, it’s. a good idea but make sure it isn’t the only function your robot’s shooter fulfills.

Team 3528 can go under the pyramid.

We are planning to be able to drive under the pyramid, but also be taller than 30" when shooting. This is somehow connected to the magic mechanism which might make us hang from the lowest rung on the pyramid, too.

Film on the 11th.

Too good of an opportunity for evasive maneuvers and free frizbees to let up on

Also, extra motivation for a low center of gravity. Has been a fun, but challenging spec to meet.

We are going to try to be under 30" so that we can have our hook(s) be able to easily hook onto the bottom railing.

Under 30" = Yes
Able to go to up 84" = Yes

That has been fun to deal with.

The title of the thread and the question asked in the poll are, taken together, confusing.

I thought this was a rules question as opposed to an ability question.

This is more out of curiosity than anything, can you actually reliably shoot the frisbees under the pyramid without having them roll out? I know that frisbees do roll quite far when their edges hit the ground first.

Team 250 is planning to be under 30" tall; however, we may or may not be able to go higher/lower.

Our robot is only 26" tall (and planning on becoming 2-3" shorter over the next few days0 :ahh:

Yup, we still have a fully functional shooter and intake, and let me tell you, designing that intake and storage system gave me and several students nightmares.

We can go under the pyramid, but that doesn’t mean we’re always under 30 inches tall.

This seems to be a common trend.

I’ve noticed this too.
(we will never be >30", right now we are 60" at start. 68" when we “climb”.)

NOPE!
