Greetings everyone,
In the firmwares offered for CANcoder there are several options, one of which contains the expression vK. The meaning of the expression vH became clear to us after searching the Internet, but we did not find any information about the meaning of the expression vK. We would be happy if you could enlighten us on this matter, what does the vK mean in the CANcoder firmware?
Thanks in advance!
Learoy, BumbleB 3339.
If I remember correctly from asking CTRE about it, they’re just minor hardware differences in the CANcoders. @TytanRock could probably confirm
I can confirm, vH and vK are hardware revisions that are functionally the same but do require different firmware files.
If you accidentally select the wrong one, diagnostics will catch it and present an error message.
Tuner X automatically handles this detection + selection for you so you don’t need to keep track of versions manually, but if you’re still using Tuner v1 you’ll need to check your device list entry to make sure you’re selecting the correct firmware file.
Thank you very much for your response!
