So we just hooked up our cancoders and we get green flashing lights on them but periodically we get a red blinking light then it goes back to green. I believe this is a can bus issue but we double checked all of our wires and connections seem good. Any ideas why this is happening?

If you just hooked them all up at once they are probably having CAN ID issues. Power them up one at a time and set the CAN IDs. Also be sure to update the firmware on the CANcoders.

We’re actually using your serve drive, we updated all of them and set their ids correctly. The robot drives but it’s like a periodic loss of can bus packets and I’m not sure why.
What is your CAN bus utilization? We find that we need to back off status frame update rates if our robot has a lot of Falcons and CANcoders.
Hmm, I’ll check tomorrow. Do you think that would be the problem with only the drive motors hooked up, because that’s all we have hooked up right now
