CANcoder recommended fuse amperage

Hello, I am attempting to wire CANcoders into the mini power module of my electronics board for a swerve drive. Unfortunately, I am unsure of what amperage the mini fuses should be. I am thinking it is 15 or 20 amps but I am not 100% sure.

CANCoders are 60mA max, so assuming 4 for a swerve we are at 240mA max draw so under an amp. Assuming 22 awg wire then a 5-10 amp fuse will do. If you use a 15-20 amp fuse by rules you will need to go to 18awg wire.

So if I used 24 gauge wire then I would need to use 2 amp circuit breakers?

Yes, the VRM 12v channel is 2A. No breaker needed there.

Okay so I’m not using a VRM, I am using a mini power module. However, the manual doesn’t seem to have a specific breaker for the mini power module. Is there one or should I try an alternative option like wiring the CANcoders via 22 gauge CAN wires? Is that alternative option even allowed?

For the mini power module it matters what fuse you are using.
If you use a fuse rated for:_______________You can use this wire or thicker:
15/20 AMP__________________________________________18 gauge+
2/5/10 AMP_________________________________________22 gauge+
1 AMP or less_______________________________________28 gauge+

You could argue that 2amp fuse would be covered with 24 gauge, but it’s specially says VRM.
