If there’s specifics you would like discussed on air post here or live in chat by tagging @firstupdatesnow. Candidly Speaking is a PG-13 show and may contain some mature language.
I mean if you watched our US/Canada West Region Recap show Andrew Lawrence was providing best restaurants around regional events in California every week…
I had the same thought when I took it… I had expected it to be full of questions about email, blog, forums, social media, etc - how we want to receive important communications from FIRST. Instead it was about how FIRST communicates their brand. Nothing wrong with the survey itself, it just wasn’t represented appropriately in the email I got asking me to take it.
I had forgotten to take the survey and this thread reminded me that I should. When I first saw it, I had hoped this survey had to do with the fact that for a while I was getting basically duplicate emails from like 4 different “FIRST” addresses.
No - that survey was a bunch of BS. I think because I was almost excited that it might be a useful survey my answers become more angry as I went through it. I will not be forwarding on to any of our mentors or students.
Ohh, agreed completely. I have no problem with a brand survey but labeling it as a communication survey is ironically amusing as one of the core issues with FIRST is and has been cohesive communication.
And you are correct - I do not know nearly enough about the SoCal restaurant scene to make educated suggestions, which is why all of my recommendations for the area are backed by certified SoCal residents. That being said, if viewers have restaurants they would like to suggest for California regionals, I will happily take viewer suggestions next season.
Now a question for Adam for tonight - in the context of using 775pros (both in and out of drivetrains), what loading and use conditions do you try and aim for when designing for 775pros?
I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Adam’s Onshape thread yet. Perhaps if there’s extra time a CAD discussion (or a more general “use what’s in industry” vs “use what’s easy and effective” discussion) is warranted, since this argument seems to come up a lot.
