Who else is on the panel?

Also, I propose a segment of the show be dedicated to each mentor’s favorite recipe(s).

Karthik and Libby are the recurring hosts for this show. There is no other guest booked.

Typically our multiple guest panel driven show will not be Roasts and Robots.

Is Twitch the best medium to share recipes, though?

Also, while I’ve advocated for this recipe before, it is freakin’ delicious.

I mean if you watched our US/Canada West Region Recap show Andrew Lawrence was providing best restaurants around regional events in California every week…

Did he mention Las Cuatro Milpas for the San Diego regional? If not, his opinions on SoCal restaurants are clearly uneducated and/or invalid.

Can you talk about how it isn’t a communication survey but a brand survey?

Can we talk about how FIRST clearly doesn’t have a real communication matrix and needs to make one?

Yes, but is it a sammich?

This is a great point Marshall that I will send to the hosts.

I had the same thought when I took it… I had expected it to be full of questions about email, blog, forums, social media, etc - how we want to receive important communications from FIRST. Instead it was about how FIRST communicates their brand. Nothing wrong with the survey itself, it just wasn’t represented appropriately in the email I got asking me to take it.

I had forgotten to take the survey and this thread reminded me that I should. When I first saw it, I had hoped this survey had to do with the fact that for a while I was getting basically duplicate emails from like 4 different “FIRST” addresses.

No - that survey was a bunch of BS. I think because I was almost excited that it might be a useful survey my answers become more angry as I went through it. I will not be forwarding on to any of our mentors or students.

Is there anything that the hosts now see as a failure, but at the time thought it was the greatest thing in the world?

Ohh, agreed completely. I have no problem with a brand survey but labeling it as a communication survey is ironically amusing as one of the core issues with FIRST is and has been cohesive communication.

Let’s say they labeled it a Brand Survey instead. Do you feel the questions were appropriate to generate valid responses?

I thought the same thing but you beat me to it.

Nope just the best place to taste test

And you are correct - I do not know nearly enough about the SoCal restaurant scene to make educated suggestions, which is why all of my recommendations for the area are backed by certified SoCal residents. That being said, if viewers have restaurants they would like to suggest for California regionals, I will happily take viewer suggestions next season.

Now a question for Adam for tonight - in the context of using 775pros (both in and out of drivetrains), what loading and use conditions do you try and aim for when designing for 775pros?

Having gone back and watched the segment, I vote you get a new SoCal residential informant. I can think of numerous taco spots I’d rather go.

Sounds like this’ll be a great episode. I’m excited to watch!

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Adam’s Onshape thread yet. Perhaps if there’s extra time a CAD discussion (or a more general “use what’s in industry” vs “use what’s easy and effective” discussion) is warranted, since this argument seems to come up a lot.
