We’re having problems with out CANdle and we can’t exactly track if they are wiring or programming problems (We think it’s not wiring). We can’t get the LEDs on the CANdle to turn on at all. We tried to create a CANdle in the code (Which properly configs it) and call CANDLE.setLEDs()
but it doesn’t change anything. The LED strip that it is connected to stays at a consitent white and when we disable v5 in the config, they turn off. If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.
Hi,did you make sure that the wiring and Can is OK? You can see it in Phoenix? Also be noticed that the candle can support up to 60 ADDRESSABLE led.
It the CANdle itself is for sure wired correctly. We can see it in Phoenix tuner and we can properly configure it in the code. We are aware of the addressable led limit but right now we’re still stumped on us not even being able to change the onboard LEDs on the CANdle
The CANdle can support quite a few more than 60 additional addressable LEDs, per their documentation and per our experience using them with more. A CANdle is driving 120 RGB LEDs on 2491’s robot this year. The software limit is much higher, depending on the type of LED you’re driving with it.
