CANivore problem

I’ve sent something to Cross the road as well but I am adding this thread in the hopes that someone has seen this problem.

We have had at least two instances where the CANivore completely stopped working.
when this happens all of the LEDs are off on the device and it is not discoverable.
We use both the USB-C connection and supply 12V to the power input.

It appears to be some kind of failure condition where the CANivore shuts itself down.

After we power cycle the robot the device comes back without issue.

the occurrences of this issue happened days apart and with no apparent correlation.

If anyone has seen anything like this I would greatly appreciate any insight.

We haven’t seen anything like this yet on our CANivores. They’ve been rock-solid for us so far, but will be watching this thread for any follow-up info.

We also haven’t seen this issue yet.

As a basic level of troubleshooting (You may have done all of this already),

  • check for the latest firmware
  • verify power and CAN wiring
