Cannot interact with limelight 3G despite it being detected

Hello,

I’m trying to help a student connect a limelight 3G to our rio 2.0 and am unable to interact with the limelight; specifically, when navigating to the IP of the limelight, all of the options on the screen are greyed out as shown below:

This happens for both limelight.local:5801 and the specific IP address I find using angryIP scanner and the limelight hardware tool. When I try to use the limelight hardware tool, it throws an error of “connect ECONNREFUSED 10.58.9.200:5805”; I cannot navigate directly to the …:5805 address in a browser.

We have done the following:

  • flashed the rio 2.0 to the newest image
  • flashed the limelight to 2024.10.2 (the newest image) as well as trying an older image, 2024.10.1
  • hooked the limelight up in a two different ways, as shown:

  • tried two different computers
  • used a different battery
  • tried other ethernet cables

I’ve tried finding older threads about this, and was able to find a few where people encountered greyed out screens like ours, but did not find resolutions on those threads.

Looking for others who have encountered this and found a solution, or steps we can take to try and troubleshoot. Thank you for your help

Still having the same issue; we also tried replacing the new radio with a known working radio from last season, and tried an older limelight (limelight 2+) with the same error - “ECONNREFUSED” - I noticed that error saying it’s trying to connect to :5805, when :5801 is the page that we are able to access. I don’t know if that is the expected behavior, or if that is an issue.

Unsure how to continue to troubleshoot, it seems like each path we’ve taken so far has lead to the same greyed out configuration page and lack of ability to understand why we’re not connecting successfully. What steps would you suggest?
