CANsparkmax died after failed update

We were updating our cansparkmaxes through rev hardware client, two were successfully updated, then we tried to update them all at once and the rest started flashing abnormally. After we power cycled the robot, the sparkmaxes didn’t have signal lights anymore, except the two that were previously updated.
We tried to use recovery mode, but the computer kept showing that the USB device is not recognized.

Turn off the robot (so there is nothing powered on the CAN bus except for the one device you are directly plugged into) and try again. This forces you to do these one-at-a-time, but you may have better luck. You may still need to use recovery mode.

Out of curiosity, did you have unique CAN IDs assigned when you did this?

Yes each of the sparkmax had a unique CAN ID. We tried again with another laptop and successfully updated the rest using recovery mode.
