Can't Configure or Load Firmware on Radio

I’m trying to configure the radio for Team 5438 and I’ve been experiencing a lot of issues trying to set up the radio

Sometimes I’ll get a NPF device name error. Other times it will say that my “IP Address hasn’t changed” or that it couldn’t check my IP address. I turn off all other connection methods apart from Ethernet. It keeps recommending that I reset the bridge but to reset the radio I need to Load Firmware and I get the errors above.

I’ve tried multiple different Ethernet cables. I have also tried resetting the IP address for the ethernet on the computer manually, but it was unable to save (Windows 10) so any suggestions about maybe fixing that issue would be appreciated as well.

Do you guys have any solutions?

Thanks.

First, try the troubleshooting steps in the documentation:

A few people have said that upgrading the version of npcap can also help.

We found yesterday while doing this that it is important to follow the instructions here: roboRIO Network Troubleshooting — FIRST Robotics Competition documentation to disable network adapters. It really is not sufficient to just turn them off using other mechanisms that might be available on your computer.

I was turning off the adapters that way. Do you have any other suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated?
Thx

Have you disabled your firewall when trying this? Is there another computer you can use to image the radio? Are you using the RJ45 port that is closer to the barrel jack? Are you powering the radio via the barrel jack or using one of the PoE devices?

I have disabled the firewalls. I am also plugging it into the port closest to the barrel jack.

I am powering the radio with the barrel jack.

I don’t have access to a different computer to image the radio.

The weird thing is I have managed to image one of them, but no other ones are working. Any advice would be appreciated.

Would you have any resources for how to upgrade the NPCAP?

Edit: I disabled my firewall and tried again. I got one radio working, but I keep getting a “Bridge Connection Error” for the other radio that I try to image

That sounds very odd. Here is the website for NPCAP. https://npcap.com/

I think there is a way to factory reset the radio. That might be another option. I believe you have to open the case and there is a small button inside. I can’t find the documentation for that though, so I’d double check before opening the case. I will check again tonight when I am at my meeting.

Thank you so much.
