Can't download via wifi if om5p at 5ghz

We are required to reconfigured our 9m5p radios for 5ghz only for an upcoming off-season event.

After reconfiguration, we can still communicate via Wifi with Driver Station and Smart Dashboard, but we cannot deploy code from Eclipse. We have to use the USB cable between PC and RoboRio to deploy.

Same story on 3 systems, 2 with OM5P-AC and one with OM5P-AN.

We code in C++.

This is not a show-stopper, but it is annoying.

Does the laptop support 5ghz wifi?

Try this with the older OM5P-AN model:

When you use the Radio Config Tool
either uncheck BW Limit
or add a WPA key

There is also a reported problem with a 2.4GHz setting blocking the port Eclipse uses, but you shouldn’t be running into that.

This worked on OM5P-AN. uncheck BW Limit.

I will try the OM5P-AC this evening.

Beta testing has confirmed that this problem is fixed in the 2018 radio config tool, soon to be released.
