Excited! Applied.

CCC has always been a great event with a very friendly and hospitable atmosphere. While the Tators missed it last year, we look forward to some friendly competition with our California friends…

While at our first official planning meeting last night, one of the committee had on a Team Tators shirt (JV Gill). We were all excited to hear you were coming back to CCC!

Glad you guys signed up! You won’t be disappointed.

Today is a happy day! I can’t wait to see you guys again! We sometimes even have potato parties where we eat things that are potato and watch the TV/movies.

Also, we will be making a rule modification based around the field and what we observed last week at Chezy Champs. In addition to removing the Drawbridge, Sally Port, and Portculis defenses, we will also be removing the Rough Terrain, leaving 5 available defenses. Because we now have exact number of defenses as their are slots, these defenses will remain in fixed positions throughout the tournament, including eliminations. The positions are as follows:

Position 1: Low Bar
Position 2: Rock Wall
Position 3: Moat
Position 4: Cheval De Frise
Position 5: Ramparts

Another update for teams!

We will be offering full pizza pre-orders for Capital City Classic at lunch. Pizzas are 14” in diameter, sliced into 12ths, and are $15 each regardless of type. The types available are Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Cheese, Meat, Combo, and Vegi. The pre-order form can be found here. Pre-orders must be submitted by 10/13. Pre-order payments will be done through PayPal (you will not need an account in order to pay, we will bill you directly for the amount of pizza ordered).

Also, here you’ll find you’ll find a site map for Capital City Classic 2016 at Cosumnes Oaks High School. The pits will be split between the aux gym and the cafeteria, and you can find which pit location your team is assigned to on the map.

973 will be competing with both our season robot, and the robot we fielded at chezy champs.

Super excited for this event! It was very well run when we attended in 2013.

Hello,

I was curious if the elimination alliances will be just the normal 3 teams or will it be 4 like at Chezy Champs?

We are super excited to be competing at this great event again.

1 week…

The plan at this time is for 3 team alliances in eliminations.

Will FIRST Boulders be used or gopher balls (used at CalGames)?

Gopher Balls, same as CalGames.

Bro you sure about that? Well used FIRST boulders are a lot more consistent than the multicolored Gopher balls. I’ll find a way to bring a field’s worth of boulders myself if it means no Gopher balls.

Lawrence doesn’t mess around…

Logistics before promises  That said, if you figure out a way, I’m sure we can find a use for them.

973 will bring 6 or more that are in good enough condition for play.
