So with build season coming up, I have noticed a growing gap in the skill levels of the new students. I am trying to make sure that everyone is at the best they can be at but it is getting harder and harder to teach everyone at the same time. I am the design lead and a senior so I only have so much time that I can put towards teaching people. What are some ways that I can give the members with fewer skills resources so that they can self teach themselves to get better?

Don’t expect for them to know everything. But do expect them to know where to look. We threw everything into a Google doc that they can Ctrl-F through, rather than getting surprised or expecting them to Google blindly on something they haven’t been steeped in.

It take some time for a person to master his/her craft. For as long as they have the passion with what they do then expect that they will get better as time goes by. As what the saying goes, learning is a continuous process. Good luck.
