Catwalk Match Videos From St. Louis CMP

Just flew in from St. Louis and boy, are my arms tired.

Videos taken from the Catwalk on Friday:
2017 STL CMP Match Videos

The game this year is interesting from an overhead view.
Gear placement is easier to see and the Red Rotors look cooler.

Sad that the catwalk videos won’t be happening in the near term future with divisions being played in Convention Halls.
I’ve been doing the catwalks since the Georgia Dome and will miss seeing all of the Divisions in one large arena.

There are some Qualification and Practice matches including 50 kPa from Team Titanium.
Also an 8 minute tour of the Pits and Arena.

Let me know if there are any corrections if the video information.
It’s tough to tell what match they are playing from high above.

Okay, everyone needs to check out Daly Match #85. 2767 is awesome from wherever you watch them, but it’s so cool to see their drive, gear intake, and shooting from above.

that is a great view. Make the game a lot more fun to watch

I wish FIRST incorporated an overhead view into livestreams.

Thanks for these kinds of videos, I know I wouldn’t have the guts to go up there.

How did you get up there?

Pete helps run the media room and sets up the time for all of the professional media to go up to the catwalks. This year was especially significant because it was our last chance and the views from up top are spectacular. Ever since 2015 I have the pleasure of going up there and getting some spectacular shots and footage. I wish we had something similar in Detroit/Houston.

On the Catwalk

These are excellent. It’s such a fun angle to watch this game from. Thanks for sharing these!

Peter has been trying for years to talk me into going up there. After hearing someone fell to their death from up there last year it reinforced my need to stay from up there. Also the roof got struck by lightning while they were up there.

After the tornadoes and hailstorms over the past few years, that sharp clap of thunder after the lightning strike was a fitting end to our stay in St. Louis.
