After a year of lapse, Michelle Celio has passed the CD Christmas Card torch onto me. Which means that it’s time to sign up for CD Christmas Cards!
A book of stamps is currently: $8.80 (up 40 cents form two years ago)
Since it takes two stamps to mail to Canada, Canadians please make sure to sign up for** 2 spots**.
We’ll limit this one, as in past years, to 40 sign-ups, so this way no one is spending more than $18 in stamps (unless you’re Canadian, which it looks to be around $38 CAD if all sign ups are to America)
The deadline is going to be ** Friday, December 3, 2010**. This means that you must have PM’d me your address before 11:59pm on 12/3. I will send out a reminder PM on 12/1 if you have signed up but have not sent me your address, but it will make both of our lives easier if you just send it as soon as you sign up.
Obviously, we can’t track you down and force you to send cards–but try to avoid being a spoilsport.
And yes, this means the other folks involved will get a physical address (via PM), so check with the parents as applicable.
So, if you’re in for this year, add your name to the list and PM me your address (be sure to include special instructions if you’re a college student who will be leaving campus and you want your cards to be sent to a different address after certain date)
This is always a wonderful opportunity. I have saved my cards from the past few years. Thank you to everyone who participates. Kara, special thanks to you for accepting the torch.
Correct. Send some kind of greeting, whether it be a card or a letter or a carrier pigeon (I would personally love to get a carrier pigeon with a message for Christmas, but not all of us can afford that many pigeons) or something of your choice. I sent out “fortune fish” with my cards two years ago because I had a million of them, and a lot of people seemed to like them.
