CD Christmas Cards 2011

Sorry that this is unrelated, but can someone please explain to me what this is about?

Every year the people participating in CD Christmas Cards send holiday cards out to each one of the other people on the list. Essentially, you end up with 20-30 cards from some of the most awesome people in the CD community that you can brag to your robotics friends about. :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, I’m PMing the addresses out tonight. The final list is:

  1. Kara Bakowski
  2. Vic Burg
  3. Rick Sisk
  4. Scott Miller
  5. Libby Kamen
  6. Kelli Treff
  7. Jane Young
  8. Michelle Celio
  9. Bharat Nain
  10. Alex Cormier
  11. Mike Taylor
  12. Phil Szymanowski
  13. Michaela Settle
  14. Kimberly Marquette
  15. Christian Pawlak
  16. Katie Widen
  17. Jim Wilks
  18. Jim Wilks
  19. Billfred

You should get your cards out as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the last minute - time flies!

If there is anybody who PMed their address but isn’t on the above list, please let me know ASAP! Same goes if there is something wrong with your address.

Andrul, I didn’t receive an address from you, so I had to take you off the list. Try again next year!

Note: Jim Wilks lives in Canada. His card will need a total of $0.80 USD in stamps. Your card shouldn’t be more than 1oz, but if it is, you will need to calculate the postage for it.

Thank you all for signing up, and happy sending!

Because… that was a spam post.

A darn good one too!

I thought it was, but there was no way for me to be sure since it was pretty convincing :stuck_out_tongue:

I made a Google Doc with all the addresses. (GD pulls up better on my phone when compared to CD.) If anyone would like access, send me a PM and I’ll give you the link.

Just a reminder that your cards should be going out soon! If you haven’t started at all, you should do that today*.

*unless you’re like me and have final exams to study for. School first!

My cards went out in the mail this morning! Sadly, they’re not as spiffy as I would have liked because I’m still not home. On the bright side, everyone avoided a sea of glitter and/or confetti.

Also, if you haven’t addressed your cards yet, please go ahead and send mine to my Michigan address. That way I can have a sea of cards waiting for me when I get home. =)

I just put mine in the mailbox of the Five Points post office like five minutes ago. This year’s cards seem about 2,815 times more likely to arrive at their destination, as they are free of metal pokey things.

They are also about 1,293 times* more fun than last year’s intended cards from me, assuming you and I share a similar definition of “fun”.

*Katie’s card is an exception; hers is 3,928 times more fun. I made sure of it.

And once again, Billfred’s card arrives in pieces

Hey, once you go to Festivus poles you can’t just go to CVS and be done with it!

(Took me at least an hour in Kinko’s to get them right…then, of course, addressing and stamping and then actually going to CVS to get more stamps…)

I was going to send out my cards this morning… But I was moving (same address, though) all day and buy the time I realized what time it was… it was after 6 PM! >.< I’ll get them out tomorrow, promise!

I think we should all play the “Billfred stinks” game. (mine was very very broken)

I can neither confirm nor deny that the arrival-in-pieces quotient was influenced by the recipient’s caption contest score over time, with particular regard to the elusive negative scores.

Really? Mine was three pieces.

Still took me an hour and a half …

what can I say, the man knows his audience.

GAH! My card from him has arrived, but I won’t be home until the 24th to open it!

Curse you, co-op and your not being in the same state as where I live!

You must have miscounted, Mike. 14…

Heh heh - I bet Katie got 42.

Cards went in the mail yesterday. Hopefully they will arrive by Christmas

I must have more on the “nice” list as mine was only 12.
