CD-Stats is a web app that visualizes your Chief Delphi usage, since 2019 for some areas, and since sometime in the early 2000s or late 1900s for others. This is similar to many of those Spotify analysis sites you may have seen before. The site gets this data from an extract of your all-time user data that discourse provides.
All of the processing for the analysis runs completely locally on your device, and no data is sent to any server. While there could definitely be some cooler analysis done with an external server, I wanted the user to have faith that their user data is not being stored or used maliciously. You can switch your device to airplane mode after the page loads if you don’t believe me.
I plan to add some more stats at some point, but figured the site was in a good enough state to publish. If you want to see any specific stats or charts that you think would be possible with the data, please feel free to post it here. The site isn’t fully fleshed out for dealing with users with little to no user data and there may be some misbehavior I haven’t encountered. If you hit a bug feel free to file an issue on the Github, post here, or PM me if you are a mentor.
Instructions for finding the export data
Go to your Chief Delphi account preferences, and find the “Export Data” section. Click the button to request your data, and wait until you receive a PM with your data. You can then just drag that file straight into the dropbox on the site.
