And the picture:

As usual, the deadline is Sunday at Midnight Eastern.

Go!

Team Logistics Coordinators LOVE This One Trick!

We saved almost $4,000 making the students travel with the robot this way. Two way tickets to champs arent cheap. Don’t worry we drilled some holes in the lid for air and gave em a box of granola bars.

See, I told you the crate size was overkill.

So what’s the route?
[whispers] A truck to Gary, by lakes to Rochester, and another truck back here to West Lafayette for the regional.
Sounds like the long way around.
[whispers] Sure, but it includes Niagara Falls, should be fun.

When the build team just can’t let there baby go.

Packing peanuts just take up too much space. With our new packaging method, you can SAVE BIG on TRAVEL and SPACE by using members of the build team to cushion the robot during transit! Plus, you have an extra 7 days in a truck to work on your robot!

Student A: idly rifling through the sponsor packet looking for stickers
Mentor: “I’m sorry, the team can only afford airfare for the drive team. You’ll have to get there on your own.”
A: overhears Mentor “Wait a sec… Isn’t FedEx covering shipping?”
Student B: “I have an idea…”

Don’t worry. Everyone left before the crate was sealed - including the robot.

The students developed a unique solution to the Schrödinger’s Robot dilemma of determining whether the robot in the crate was enabled or not.

“No no no! I told you to think outside the box!”

Build team demoing a no weight limit, strict frame perimeter and extension limit concept robot with added benefit of no deadline to hand over build to code!

This is so much more convenient than the boiler!

Let’s get judgy!
