At a summer festival, Dave came up with no less than 116 donut tasting critiques:
nope, not this one
nope, not this one
mmm, oh - nope, not this one bring me more!
nope, not this one…
and so it went throughout the day until the donut makers were out of sugar, out of fillings…out of patience, when finally, Dave was satisfied and said,
Juuuust riiiiight - now bring me more!
at which point the local donut makers who were inexperienced with dlavery’s bottomless donut appetite, called in the KK professionals, closed down their booth, and went home vowing never, ever, ever to make donuts if even a hint of Dave Lavery showed up.
Okay. I triued the Dunkin Donut. Yes I hate it. Now gimmie my hundred dollars and point me to the nearest bathroom. I have to purge this poison from my body.
“Dave ate the first doughnut and said ‘This one is too hot’
Dave ate the second doughnut and said ‘This one is too cold’
Dave ate the Krispy Kreme doughnut and said ‘This one is just right…’”
Dave grimaced as he realized the doughnut was in fact a Dunkin Doughnut, and it had be inside team 40’s closet along with some packets of light creme, and it would probably taste better if it hadn’t been there since the ship date…
Dave suddenly noticed that he dropped some jelly on his favorite shirt and right before he had to give a speech to a lot of people and the bad thing is its covering the NASA logo!!!
We at NASA do not run on theories. We experiment to make sure that everything meets specifications. Always looking for better products Dave does the bite and tip test. Unfortunately this one was a bit too runny and the outside a bit too sticky. Like a true scientist Dave continues his experiments.
ya know i took a bite out of this donut and now those creepy kids on CD are going to think its a hint… or that nerdy Billfred is going to caption contest me again… sometimes i wish i were a nobody like Koko Ed or that crazy canadian Steve W
Andy Baker thought it would be fun to impersonate Dave . So he donned his Lavery mask and NASA t-shirt and went to the Dunkin Donut booth. KK stock prices plunged 35 points that day.
Unfortunately, this is the best known picture of Dave Lavery. In fact, it’s not only on his NASA ID badge, but he sends it out as his annual Christmas card.
Dave: I didn’t know that Krispy Kreme made jelly donuts!
Student: Me neither. In fact, that one is from a shop on the West Coast that isn’t KK.
Dave: makes face I don’t know about this.
