Andy: “OK, Jess, you keep that clipboard tucked under your arm and we’ll have many beautiful years of wedded bliss.”
Jess smiles and thinks: Yeah, just wait until he gets out of line!
And Andy starts to think-“I wonder how much it would cost to have the wedding right here.”
Andy’s FIRST reaction when Jessica asked,giggle
“While proposing, don’t forget to wear your safety glasses.”
(Sorry, couldn’t resist! I completely forgot I was wearing my safety glasses the whole time until I saw pictures later. Oh, and I straightened my hair (a rarity), although by that part of the day the humidity had killed it.)

Andy: I’d give you a ring, but the field crew has already removed them…
A moment too late, Jess remembered just how “pungent” FIRST emcees get working under the hot lights of a playing field all day…
“Must…keep…smiling…must…hold…breath…just…a little…longer…hurry…up…Andy…please…help…me…God…losing…consciousness…”
It was silent… except for one small voice, a Kamen voice, screaming “AWWWWW” with as much volume as it could muster.
After proposing.
Jess: OK, so I’m thinking we can probably fit in a quick wedding on Einstein at lunchtime… and we can get a Vex robot to carry the rings down the aisle, and the bridal party can arrive on Segways… and the bridesmaids can carry clipboards instead of bouquets… and I can walk down the aisle to the tune of the FIRST theme song… and we can probably “borrow” some of the FIRST centerpieces from one of the Regional’s VIP luncheons… and I’m sure we can get Dean Simmons and the Kamen Brothers to play at the wrap party…hmm. I wonder if either Dean or Woody are a Justice of the Peace???
