DJ Fluck - Also known as 'The man who loved FIRST so much, he kissed the ground the ‘bots ran on’.
Trying to imitate Dean’s explanation of simple rules, “This is outside the playing field”
“Alright, who’s the joker who tied my shoelace to the pole?”
FIRST Frenzy: Burning the Fat!
“Cmon, do it with me people… and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4… all you beer bellied enginerds, let’s see some effort!”
(for max comedic effect, include totally flamboyant Richard Simmons voice)
“Luckily the carpet saved my knees…can’t say much about my head though!”
Behold the next Olympic huddler.
“10 cases of zip ties…$100…building a robot…$1500…going to a regional…$3000…leaving someone at a rest stop…priceless”
Looks like the judges are going to give this one a 7.5 he had great form but missed the landing. Ouch thats gotta hurt.
DJ Fluck was disabled after flying out with a great start to knock down all the huskies during autonomous only to turn the wrong way, and ending outside of the playing field much to the horror of the programmer.
There IS a reason why they added a gate to the field DJ…
in the best crock hunter voice “as you can see DJ is listening for sounds to find out where they are coming from. you don;t want to let these robots sneek up on you, as they can be crafty buggers.”
“LOOK AT ME, I’M DJ! YAY!!! Join my fan club and I’ll teach you how to be cool like me! I like to call this move the black panther. Grrrrrr.”
DJs failed attempt at breakdancing. He learns 1) to move away from objects that will catch his feet and 2) spining on your knee leaves a nasty rugburn.
Attempting several backflips to express his team’s joy at being choosen by the #1 seeded team, D.J. Fluck forgets entirely about the field, until it is too late.

The second video from the FIRST Workout Series titled “FIRST You Pump-It-Up: The Advanced Regional Workout” went on sale this week and captured the number 3 spot for the “Top 10 Selling Workout Video of the Month.” Pictured here is D.J. Fluck demonstrating the proper hand and leg position of the “Elevated-Single-Leg push up.”
This is a favorite exercise performed by finalists at FIRST Regional Competitions while waiting for their turn at picking alliances.
That’s what happens when you raise the bar
Attempting to escape the recruited “human wall,” D.J. Fluck nearly makes it off the field before falling and being dragged into the line.
D.J. realized he wasn’t Superman.
‘Can you say…ouch? with a smile?’
And over here, we see DJ, doing his impression of “Jess Boucher post-national anthem at IRI”.
