As always, the deadline is nominally Saturday at midnight Eastern.

Go!

Yellow card! And now we have to belay him.

Although Dave was actually giving a thumbs-up, many people thought he was giving a thumbs-down due to his upside down orientation.

Not the safest way of sticking your head in the robot–not that sticking said body part into a robot is safe in the first place!

I know what your all thinking. This is extremely dangerous, and it is a shame on 1058’s mentors for letting such a blatant safety violation happen. Having some parts of your bumpers be red, and other parts blue, can confuse drivers so much that they have a fit of rage.

If this looks like a bad idea to you, you need to get a different perspective.

Real pirates hang off of mast booms, PVC pirates hang off pyramids. Because as you know, steel is the wood of PVC.

There are many less complicated ways to score ten points.

This guy was happy until he found freshman driver practice was starting… now!

Here we see Dave training for when regionals are held in Australia.

With that much blood rushing to his brain, he’ll think of a better climbing mechanism soon.

That is the coolest hat ever!

The high tech version of giving someone a swirly.

If the robot hits me, does that mean I get a level 3 climb too?
Now, is it really worth the head ache?

!Joe Matt

We needed to find a way to keep this year’s robot functional so I turned it into an automatic hair cutting machine. Ouch! We are still getting all the bugs worked out. Did you know that scalp wounds really bleed a lot! (Note to self, this is a way to confuse the red alliance!)

Guy resting casually on the pyramid: “Why is the robot upside down?”

You are putting too much weight stress on the pyramid!

New entry (it’s still Monday!)…

Is it just me, or has robotics turned our world upside down?

Sorry for the delay, y’all–after yesterday afternoon, I just wasn’t feeling great at all. You didn’t want me to break out the -infinity gun.
