As always, the deadline is nominally Saturday at midnight Eastern.

Go!

How to tell the electrical guys: They always have batteries and cords handy. Never know when something might need a boost, even in a dream!

The new FIRST robotics charging station. Capable of recharging robot batteries and robot drivers.

Believe ME!! I am listening to hear any vibrations coming from the robot through the floor while my eyes are closed! I will tell you if I hear anything so stop bothering ME!!

Tragically, Jimmy’s nap on the table saw had worse consequences.

Just as duct tape attracts roaches, carpet attracts teenagers.

Now I lay me down to sleep
Several batteries at my feet
If the robot should ship before I wake
Be sure the charges you also take

I have always said, “You need to get down and see what the robot sees” if you want to be successful. There are downsides to almost every strategy…

Even drivers need to cool their motors once in a while!

He’s recharging so he can make it home.

Somebody help me! My ear stud is caught in the carpet!

And suddenly…SURPRISE NAP TIME, OUT OF NOWHERE

See, this never would have happened if he’d been weaing his safety glasses. ::safety::

Dogs are afraid of vacuum cleaners.

Robotics students are afraid of … batteries?

He was asleep on the platform before the team needed to test the robot on the ramp. Then he was unceremoniously plopped on the carpet. It’s kind of funny how comfortable any surface can be when you’re that exhausted.

If I hide here maybe the robot won’t find me

Batteries charged? Check.
Cords ready? Check.
Power tools ready? Check.
Team recharging? Check.
