Now, for a RATHER IMPORTANT RULE CHANGE FOR PROCRASTINATORS:

Next Saturday, I’ll be moving into my college dorm rooms. I don’t believe that this will give me much time to check CD, at least for a few days. So, in the interest of keeping this going, this caption contest will end on Wednesday, August 11 at midnight Eastern. The next one should be posted on Sunday.

As Brandon can probably figure out from the server logs, I’ve loaded up a lot of pictures in the hunt for the perfect caption bait. However, I couldn’t resist when I saw this picture:

http://www.invisiblerobot.com/robotics/robot_party_2004/index/p6126562.html

(And, by the way, I’m officially ditching the if-you-posted-it-you’re-not-eligible rule, due to the fact that it doesn’t seem to make a hill of beans’ difference who posted it.)

Go!

You see, Jeff, you need to push this to flirt with the ladies…

ACTION COMMANDO DAVE LAVERY NOW WITH HAWAIIAN SHIRT AND SUPER LASER CANNON

warning laser cannon can cause injury keep out of reach of small children

“this button here releases the one-point-twenty-one jigawatts of power… but how do i get up to 88 mph?”

or simply,

“one-point-twenty-one jigawatts (evil grin)”

“Did you know that if I scaled this to the size of the Empire State Building and aimed it at the ground, I could actually launch my other car to Mars?”

guy: “i heard this rumor there was going to be a water game next year”

dave: “i don;t know whhaaat you are talking about? (grin)”

“… and don’t overestimate the ability of an unskilled fool with exotic tools!”

Heidi

“Dave says, ‘that’s pimp’”

:stuck_out_tongue:

‘This, my friends, is a weapon of mass saturation.’

No, Dave says “that’s PUMP”

And this my friends is one of the rarest artifacts that proves their was life on mars at one time… It is the Uranium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator, and it once belonged to the great Commander X-23 (A.K.A. - Marvin the Martian)

jeans at a pool? denim doesnt dry to easily :o

“the martians won’t stand a chance - they melt when they get wet, you know”

Alright, I know this was a time crunch (think if FIRST gave us three weeks next season…yeah, this pales in comparison, I know…)

First place: A TIE! Michelle 236 and MissInformation each will receive ten points. However, for calling Dave an unskilled fool with exotic tools, Heidi receives a seven-point penalty.

Second place: Greg Needel. Just because I have a soft spot for water game discussion.

Honorable mentions, in the order that I noticed the posts:
-dlavery (who proves that even two points can be pimp)
-Ken Patton (although wouldn’t squirting water on 494’s robot just short them out?)
-Elgin Clock
-“Big Mike”
-EddieMcD

ONWAAAAAAAAARD!!..on Sunday.

(wow, three whole days without a caption contest–how will I stay sane?)

But Dave did say in this thread that he would have said court jester, which translates to fool… and is not a giant squirt gun such as that an exotic tool? As for unskilled, it was his first time using it, so he was indeed unskilled… sigh… since I can sense you are not buying this defense I’ll take my three points and be on my way…

I’ll be in Alaska for the next 11 days, so I’ll miss the next contest.

Heidi

<=======>
Not a tease, but a taunt.

One big problem–he can’t be a jester. He’s an Etch-A-Sketch.

Now, if I had made this image the picture for teh captionage, it would’ve been no contest!

(and thus a new photoshop star was born…in MS Paint)

Okay, I admit, I was wrong. As this thread which contains this picture, shows, Dave is, indeed, a very skilled fool*.
