As always, the deadline is nominally Saturday at midnight Eastern. If by some off chance you’re attending the Lexington, SC FLL Qualifier this Saturday, come by and submit your answer in person.

Go!

Time to wave the green flag at the inaugural race of the NASCAR LEGO Series!

Billfred before sideburns

5 minutes after the start of the race:

“I don’t get it. The robot didn’t move.”
“Yeah, the program should have gone down the track twice now!”
“Hey, you did put the program on the robot right?”
“PROGRAMMING PROBLEM!”

Want to feel old? These kids are now old enough to be on an FRC Team

(obviously not an entry)
There are kids on FLL 7016 born while I was in college. They handle that feeling for me!

“I give up. What do you get when you cross a mountain goat with a jet ski?”

“Nothing. The mountain goat is a scalar.”

If this is what they call a “burnout” I don’t get it…

Student scratching his head: I can’t for the life of me remember where this sensor goes.
Robot takes off and hits wall.
Now I remember.

Kid scratching his head: “Why is that robot more popular than my robot?”

Another day at the Soap Bot Derby.

“Wow… This thing is crazy awesome. What did you call it again, a hexbug?”

“Jimmy, the hexbug is over there… That’s not a robot on your arm, that’s a spider!”

Kid scratching his head: “What am I supposed to be doing here? More importantly, When is lunch?”

Sorry about the delays, y’all. A week of FLL practices every single night and then a long day at the qualifier set me way back on work. In the name of expediency, I’ll post the updated scores later–it’s after midnight here, and I’ve still got more to do!
