As always, the deadline is nominally Sunday at midnight Eastern. I’ll be at Championship, most of the time in the AndyMark FRC booth. Feel free to come submit your entry in person.

Go!

It’s a good thing they didn’t try that on the 2016 field.

I now pronounce you Fris and Bee; you may now throw the bride.

The same construction company that built that arch is going to build their house. They promise not to use any humans for structure this time.

The two volunteers finally got married, after becoming engaged just before Einstein matches began.

Now for the ultimate test of their relationship: climbing the pyramid together…

Instead of the bride’s family on the left and groom’s family on the right, they did Dean’s fanclub on the left and Woodie’s fanclub on the right.

Since the venue didn’t want them throwing rice, this was the best they could come up with. Paper airplanes were a close second.

Instead of throwing a bouquet, they threw a frisbee.

And the legend has it she still has paper airplanes in her dress.

They got all their friends and family to volunteer, so they could hold the wedding dinner in the volunteer lounge.

And even after the ride back to the hotel in a loveseat 'bot, they were surprised to discover that the field crew had re-assembled a blue pyramid in their honeymoon suite, and replaced all the paintings with the Ultimate Ascent logo.

I mean, it was nice and all, but I still say those safety swords really leave something to be desired…

Hats off to the new couple.

Sorry for the judging delay. The past couple days, my sinuses have had me out like a fat kid in dodgeball (and I’m entitled to say that, because I was the fat kid in dodgeball). I’m hoping I can get back up and running properly this week–I’ve got packing to do!
