Mentor Top Left: How did these kids never know how to walk before today?
We’ve captured a typical Chi-squared distribution of FIRST dance enthusiasm with 3 degrees of freedom. As you can see, enthusiasm quickly peaks and then trails off down the line…

Being forced to dance at an event is a freshman right of passage. That and sweeping the floor all build season of course.
This is why we learn the Cotton-Eyed Joe during build season, not at competition.
And here we see why “telephone” doesn’t work so well with dancing
Thankfully dancing is not a required skill for volunteers.
Hey! Can you guys just step on the edge of the mat to keep it from slipping? Thanks.

“Cotton Eye Joe?!? I thought this was Pokemon Go?”
In a slight Australian/British accent:
“Here we see a group of robotics students in their natural habitat establishing their positions on the social ladder through frenetic dancing. Two inexperienced juveniles look on, hoping to someday replicate the actions of their elders.”
You put your right foot in
You take your right foot out

THIS IS COTTON EYE JOE!
That’s what I’m doing.
No, you’re doing The Hokey Pokey!

I draw the line at competition dance breaks when the dance breaks cross the line.
When you are forced to go up and dance during a competition and have no clue as to how to do said dance
Dean Kamen says to put our best foot forward.
They guy on the right is still trying to decide which foot that is.
