Luckily the surgeons were able to remove the basketball from Gregor’s head, relieving the worry of every mentor with vision tracking on their robots.

Gregor learns the hard way why tickling a loaded, powered on robot is a bad idea. At least the basketball wasn’t real.

Gregor wore a basketball on his head to distract people from looking at his pants.

The event didn’t have enough basketballs, so some teams had to provide their own - in this case one of the drive team members’ heads.

Gregor wore his golf outfit because he’d figure

  1. wearing a ridiculous outfit would help the team get noticed at a deep field during IRI, and that could help his team get picked.

  2. he’d miss getting picked for eliminations and go golfing instead.

After accidentally being hit by a ball traveling at approximately 12,000 miles per hour, gregor was permanently deformed. The outfit, however, was his choice.
