A prime example of what happens when you combine the Bumper Quality Rating (BQR-2, in this case) and mecanum wheels: 7-14-1. So bad, it couldn’t tie in a game that tied every other match.
Here, the parent students teach their child robot to hunt its first soccer ball. It may be poor at it now, but if it survives to adulthood, this robot will be one of the deadliest hunters on the field.
And they said mecanum wheels couldn’t go over the bump! We showed them! Now if only we could get our kicker to work…
Even a fast food chain loves FRC.

Usually meccanum wheels are inferior to traction wheels, but when Florence comes in and the field becomes water, it doesn’t matter what wheels are used as long as they leave plenty of ground clearance.
Mentor: “Keep the robot away from the ball, you don’t where its been!!!”
