And the picture:

As always, the deadline is nominally Sunday at midnight Eastern.

Go!

Referee: This makes me hungry. I hope the VC got us ice cream this year.

#3

Bow down to the King of Orbit balls!

#4

This robot is offering up his sacrifice to the traction gods.

#5

“Welcome to the FRC Club

#6

Still easier than moving on Regolith

#7

Nobody knew that scoring in that position would summon the dark gods of FIRST. What happens in Lunacy, stays in Lunacy…

#8

Little did anyone know that this was actually a game hint for the 2020 game, “T-Ball Trouble”.

#9

The official diligently reviews his scoring tablet; thinking that this defies all the rules so it must be penalized.

#10

orbit noun (2)

Definition of orbit (Entry 2 of 3)

1 a : a path described by one body in its revolution about another (as by the earth about the sun or by an electron about an atomic nucleus)

  • also : one complete revolution of a body describing such a path

Did it stay up there for a full day?

#11

Unfortunately, the ROBOT is now DISABLED for exceeding the allowable height limit.

#12

The kids will remember games 10 years later, they said. They’ll know the difference between field elements and robots, they said.

#13

Must be on the dark side of the Lunacy … er, moon. This isn’t a Chinese team, is it?

#14

(Un)-lucky number 13!

#15

In 2009 there was no scoring 12 bonus points for positioning the trackball on top of the overpass, although the FRC consensus was that there should’ve been.

[NPOE] Even though 2008 was a bad year for the TechHOUNDS, I’m glad I graduated then and not in 2009[/NPOE]

#16

Little did anyone suspect that there was a pipe to the underground world until this picture shows an Orbit ball disappearing down one.

#17

The Olympic Torch makes its way back to Atlanta. Kinda sorta.
