The rules, for the newbies.

And as is tradition for the end-of-year contest, this one is a video:

As always, the deadline is nominally Sunday at midnight Eastern.

Go!

The next version will start inside one of the cubes, in the pile by the switch. Good luck scoring it!

Inspector: looks down at check list
Inspector: Well, I don’t see anything amount a minimum height or frame perimeter…I Here is your sticker.

Students: High five in background
Mentors: shake heads

Yet again were being shown how much more cost effective smaller robots are.

I guess that robot is… not to scale.

Face Z Boss

But he’s got high hopes
He’s got high hopes
He’s got high apple pie
In the sky hopes

Scandal ensued when The Chimeras’ teaser was found in the pits at the Kettering University 2 district event. A cursory review of the rules led to the belief that The Chimeras had brought two robots to the competition. A conference with Manchester and a heated debate on the meaning of words began. The debate was promptly settled when a reasonably astute observer was summoned and determined that no, the teaser was not a robot because it did not have BUMPERS. It wasn’t the first time the glossary in the game manual saved the day.

I wonder if this robot could do more pull up on the bar than what was demonstrated at STEMLEY 2018

[/NPOE] I would add a video but I could not find one [/NPOE]

A Narration of Monty Power Cube and The Holy Switch, Scene 8.
The tiny robot, having totally failed to hide inside the Chimera Rabbot seen in the background of Sub-Scenes 1 and 2, attempt to rectify the mistake by trying to convince the Cheesy Poof guards that they are indeed able to climb the walls and capture the castle, but unfortunately get distracted by a power cube held over the switch.

Commercial: “Presenting Little Buddy, the friendly and useful partner robot small enough to be picked up with your power cube intake and placed on the scale to guarantee control of it for the whole match all for one low price of $16.84 plus S&H”

The fine print: Disclaimer: we are not responsible for any penalties accrued through the usage of our product including but not limited to fouls, tech fouls, yellow cards, red cards, disablement, disqualification, and/or being forced to walk in the pits

Maybe that’ll teach you to enunciate. Repeat after me: “Let. Go. of. my. Power. Cube.”

Oh well, it’s only a model.

What’s not obvious is that the power cube replicas were actually five feet across…

It took all day to get this headache to go, let’s strike while the iron is hot!

Just had to comment after seeing this.
Funny to revisit that video again. It was a late Build Season night, we were a bit slap happy, got creative and did several takes.
Fun times.
