Little known fact: The “make it obvious to the refs” rules in recent games were based on refs falling asleep late in the day while checking ramp heights.

This is what happens when you loose your tape measure and you have to use the width of your hand (3 inches) to measure robot’s height above ground WITHOUT the students realizing you lost your tape measure.
Referees need naps too, but they don’t have the bleachers to sit in. Pretending to measure the height of a robot off the floor is just a cover for a quick nap.
